Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 19 March with decrease in the market cap by 0.29% or EGP 246.757 billion compared to EGP 247.470 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.77 %of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 236.081 million which represents 25.48% of the total trading volume today after 5.762 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.49% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decreased EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 4.2 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 0.16% at 14.780 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.15 % to record 2.588 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.79% to record 3.844 points.
