Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 28 May with decrease in the market cap by 1.79 % or EGP 266.459 billion compared to EGP 271.304 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.33% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 100.368 million which represents 5.30% of the total trading volume today after 3.465 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.31% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 41 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.52% at 17.161 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 3.15% to record 3.199 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 2.63% to record 4.788 points.
