The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 30 April with increase in the market cap by 0.25 % or EGP 274.105 billion compared to EGP 273.431 billion at the end last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.23% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 314.236 million which represents 10.84% of the total trading volume today after 7.989 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.06% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 52 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.73% at 18.142 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.78% to record 3.124 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.91% to record 4.751 points.
