The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 12 March with decreased in the market cap by 2.03% or EGP 270.640 billion compared to EGP 276.244 billion at the end of last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 27.63 % of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 501.496 million which represents 27.61% of the total trading volume today after 10.921 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.66% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 127.5 million on shares.

The main index on the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decreased by 3.14% at 16. 468 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 3.10 % to record 3.060 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 3.25% to record 4. 496 points.
