Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 11 June with increase in the market cap by 0.02% or EGP 279.897 billion compared to EGP 279.832 billion at the end of yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.56% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 152.283 million which represents 5.85% of the total trading volume today after 3.581 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.33% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 207.8 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.25% at 17.825 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.12% to record 3.763 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.01% to record 5.411 points.
