Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 21 May with Increase in the market cap by 0.28% or EGP 267.971 billion compared to EGP 266.429 billion at the end last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 26.11% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 150.904 million which represents 12.41% of the total trading volume today after 3.484 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.65% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increased and turnover amounted EGP 381.7 thousands on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.69 % at 16.936 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.17% to record 2.997 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.07% to record 4.550 points.
