Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 14 May with increase in the market cap by 1.31 % or EGP 270.801 billion compared to EGP 267.295 billion at the end last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.34% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 292.744 million which represents 16.03% of the total trading volume today after 10.893 million shares were exchanged capturing 2.02% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increased and turnover amounted EGP 111.4 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.57% at 17.372 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.17% to record 3.061 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 1.17% to record 4.641 points.
