Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 7 May with decrease in the market cap by 0.45 % or EGP 269.683 billion compared to EGP 270.910 billion at the end last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.80% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 147.902 million which represents 11.87% of the total trading volume today after 3.650 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.90% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 18.3 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.35% at 17.295 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.14% to record 2.984 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.06% to record 4.529 points.
