Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 13 August with decrease in the market cap by 1.67% to record EGP 276.272 bn compared to EGP 280.955 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.88% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 105.684 mn which represents 5.94% of the total trading volume today after 2.603 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.44% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 16.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.82% and 17.856 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.55 % to record 3.601 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.72 % to record 5.325 points.
