The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 18 June with decrease in the market cap by 1.95% or EGP 275.365 billion compared to EGP 280.845 billion at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.62% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 146.510 million which represents 8.02% of the total trading volume today after 4.338 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.40% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 2.3 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.81% at 18.096 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 2.74% to record 3.561 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 2.82% to record 5.280points.
