The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 25 June with decrease in the market cap by 4.64% or EGP 268.111 billion compared to EGP 281.161 billion at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.85% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 325.448 million which represents 19.26% of the total trading volume today after 7.596 million shares were exchanged capturing 1% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 13.35 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 2.40% at 17.743 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 0.65% to record 3.542 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.86% to record 5.254 points.
