The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 9 July with decrease in the market cap by 1.56% or EGP 264.903 billion compared to EGP 269.088 billion at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 16.58% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 107.329 million which represents 7.72% of the total trading volume today after 3.229 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.46% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 46.5 million on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 3.20% at 17.104 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks Fell by 6.90% to record 3.478 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 6.38% to record 5.151 points.
