Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 20 August with decrease in the market cap by 1.04% to record EGP 284.359 bn compared to EGP 287.334 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.40% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 162.543 mn which represents 10.11% of the total trading volume today after 3.584 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.74% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 51.1 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.36% and 18.101 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.35 % to record 3. 661 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.3 % to record 5.395 points.
