The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 6 August with Decrease in the market cap by 0.24% to record EGP 276.933 bn compared to EGP 277.596 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.13% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 113.740 mn which represents 5.48% of the total trading volume today after 2.968 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.46% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 19.6 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.41 % and 17.708 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.61 % to record 3.571 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.49 % to record 5.275 points.
