Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 17 September with Increase in the market cap by 0.13% to record EGP 311.973 bn compared to EGP 311.582 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.54% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 68.023 mn which represents 3.36% of the total trading volume today after 2.206 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.26% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 105 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.66% and 19.772 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.4% to record 3.875 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.58% to record 5.712 points.
