Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday 11 September with Decrease in the market cap by 1.06% to record EGP 307.791 bn compared to EGP 311.079 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 1.080 bn which represents 34.12% of the total trading volume today after 19.773 million shares were exchanged capturing 3.21% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Decrease and turnover amounted EGP 113.1 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.53% and 19.601 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 0.91% to record 3.835 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.05 % to record 5.652 points.
