Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 15 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.65% to record EGP 319.301 bn compared to EGP 317.249 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.98% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 167.472 mn which represents 6.55% of the total trading volume today after 4.200 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.81% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 7.3 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.61% and 20.464 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 1.22% to record 3.759 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 1.68% to record 5.661 points.
