Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 10 September with decrease in the market cap by 0.44% to record EGP 311.079 bn compared to EGP 312.462 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.58% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 92.132 mn which represents 4.86% of the total trading volume today after 3.117 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.43% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 52 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.04% and 19.676 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.22% to record 3. 856 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.53 % to record 5.664points.
