Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 30 July with decrease in the market cap by 0.51% to record EGP 277.758 billion compared to EGP 279.171 billion at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.75% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 106.528 million which represents 5.16% of the total trading volume today after 2.925 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.38% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase and turnover amounted EGP 11.9 million on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.24% and 17.617 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.04% to record 3.552 points, and the broader index “EGX100” increased by 0.41% to record 5.235 points.
