Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 1 October with Increase in the market cap by 0.53% to record EGP 319.426 bn compared to EGP 317.742 bn at last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.21% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 316.781 mn which represents 16.69% of the total trading volume today after 6.518 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.39% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Increase EGX70 only and turnover amounted EGP 166.5 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.59% and 20.222 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.11% to record 3.809 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.06% to record 5.672 points.
