Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 8 October with Decrease in the market cap by 2.67% to record EGP 312.433 bn compared to EGP 320.782 bn at last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.61% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 205.931 bn which represents 10.04% of the total trading volume today after 4.978 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.69% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with Decrease and turnover amounted EGP 20.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 2.60% and 19.873 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks fell by 4.08% to record 3.724 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 3.71% to record 5.546 points.
