Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 31 December with Increase in the market cap by 0.5% to record EGP 402.244 bn compared to EGP 400.398 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.13% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 359.858 mn which represents 12.24% of the total trading volume today after 5.965 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.72% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.82% and 25.118 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks rose by 0.19% to record 5.501 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Increased by 0.34% to record 7.919 points.
