Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 31 March 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 3.58% to record EGP 431.952 bn compared to EGP 447.990 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.81% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 234.604mn which represents 10.34% of the total trading volume today after 4.688 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.98% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 2.45% and 27.630 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks decreased by 3.51% to record 6.418 points, and the broader index “EGX100” Fell by 3.43% to record 9.094 points.
