Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 11 February 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.8% to record EGP 469.081 bn compared to EGP 472.696 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.10% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 165.512 mn which represents 3.47% of the total trading volume today after 2.836 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.25% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 0.75% and 28.620 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks decreased by 0.38% to record 6.965 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.49 % to record 9.786 points.
