Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 10 December with decrease in the market cap by 1.4% to record EGP 400.961 bn compared to EGP 406.575 bn at  last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 25.41% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 179.856 bn which represents 5.25% of the total trading volume today after 3.815 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.27% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 27.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 2.01% and 24.771 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks declined by 1.74% to record 5.366 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 1.76% to record 7.781 points.
