Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 3 March 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 1.8% to record EGP 433.245 bn compared to EGP 441.101 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.27% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 265.879 bn which represents 6.04% of the total trading volume today after 5.005 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.56% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.32% and 29.396 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks decreased by 0.20% to record 7.396 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 0.01% to record 10.373 points.
