Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday, 24 August 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 0.28% to record EGP 539.624  bn compared to EGP 541.149  bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.60% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 126.27 mn which represents 3.34% of the total trading volume today after 3.81  million shares were exchanged capturing 0.39% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with an increase ,turnover amounted EGP  258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.53% to reach 35.818  points “EGX70” increased by 0.38% to record 10.738  points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.41% to record 14.364 points.
