Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 25 February 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 8.1% to record EGP 442.199 bn compared to EGP 478.033 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.70% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 751.234 bn which represents 8.17% of the total trading volume today after 12.838 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.70% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 10 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” Fell by 5.01% and 29.309 points, “EGX70” index for medium stocks decreased by 3.95% to record 7.854 points, and the broader index “EGX100” decreased by 3.81% to record 10.815 points.
