Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 7 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 1.16% to record EGP 441.726 bn compared to EGP 436.661 bn at last Thursday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.85% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 333.024 mn which represents 8.78% of the total trading volume today after 9.522 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.95% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.84%, to record 28864.33 points EGX70 increased by 1.13% to record 6330.13 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.91% to record 9206.05points.
