Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 21 April 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 0.2 % to record EGP 447.771 bn compared to EGP 448.649 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.15% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 139.438 mn which represents 4.75% of the total trading volume today after 3.048 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.35% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 1.03%, to record 28.941 points EGX70 increased by 1.72% to record 6.641 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.62% to record 9.446points.
