The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 9 June 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 2.95% to record EGP 403.895 bn compared to EGP 416.184bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.43% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 200.541 mn which represents 8.79% of the total trading volume today after 3.579million shares were exchanged capturing 0.73% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 2.91%, to record 26457.59 points EGX70 decreased by 2.21% to record 5.772 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 2.44% to record 8.374points.
