Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 28 April 2024 with decrease in the market cap by 4.3% to record EGP 400.745 bn compared to EGP 419.165 bn at last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 24.99% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 182.618mn which represents 7.94% of the total trading volume today after 3.318 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.48% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 178.9 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 4.93%, to record 26.005 points EGX70 decreased by 4.72% to record 6.003 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 4.84% to record 8.516 points.
