The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 4 August 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 1.30% to record EGP 446.67 bn compared to EGP 452.491 bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.96% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 229.816mn which represents 7.28% of the total trading volume today after 5.027 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.44% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 2.92%, to record 29.359 points EGX70 decreased by 4.63% to record 6.808 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 4.32% to record 9.719points.
