The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 23 June 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.84% to record EGP 415.597 bn compared to EGP 412.130bn at last Thursday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.74% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 181.396 mn which represents 6.18% of the total trading volume today after 4.231million shares were exchanged capturing 0.41% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 267.7 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 2.44%, to record 27087.87 points EGX70 increased by 2.93% to record 6103.72 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 2.98% to record 8810.84points.
