Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Sunday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 14 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.32% to record EGP 436.969 bn compared to EGP 435.566 bn at last Wednesday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 23.91% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 185.593 mn which represents 8.12% of the total trading volume today after5.247million shares were exchanged capturing 0.89% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.87%, to record 28531.84 points EGX70 decreased by 0.43% to record 6322.27 points, and the broader index “EGX100” declined by 0.55% to record 9145.71 points.
