The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 21 July 2024 with increase in the market cap by 0.52% to record EGP 433.524 bn compared to EGP 431.278 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.86% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 200.181 mn which represents 4.70% of the total trading volume today after4.103million shares were exchanged capturing 0.28% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” rose by 0.45%, to record 28.896 points EGX70 increased by 12.74% to record 6.616 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.41% to record 9.517 points.
