The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Sunday 25 August 2024 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.9% to record EGP 467.122bn  compared to EGP 471.325bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached  23.64% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to EGP 132.544mn which represents 3.02% of the total trading volume today after 3.080million shares were exchanged capturing 0.27% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with with decrease EGX30 only and turnover amounted EGP 151.7mn on shares. The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 0.22% to reach 30.196 points EGX70 increased by 1.15% to record 7.052 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.02% to record 10.054 points.
