Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 29 July 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.63% to record EGP 525.545 bn compared to EGP 528.893 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.37% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 496.119 mn which represents 11.95% of the total trading volume today after 6.665 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.41% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 0.03% to reach 34.235 points EGX70 increase by 0.41% to record 10.215 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 0.41% to record 13.786 points.
