With 240% growth in 5 years, CIB financial position jumps to EGP 1.31 tn

Commercial International Bank «CIB» has significantly strengthened its financial position over the past 5 years, driven by accelerated asset growth and improved key financial indicators.

According to the bank's independent financial statements, its asset portfolio rose to EGP 1.31 trillion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 386.70 billion by the end of 2019, with a growth rate of 240% and a total increase of EGP 927.93 billion.

By tracking its performance during the analysis period, it becomes clear that 2024 recorded the highest annual growth rate and the largest increase in asset volume, as the bank's asset volume increased by 45.3%, reaching EGP 1.21 trillion by the end of 2024, compared to EGP 832.53 billion by the end of 2023, a total increase of EGP 376.79 billion.

As for the current year, its asset portfolio rose to EGP 1.31 trillion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 1.21 trillion by the end of 2024, representing a growth of approximately 8.7% on a semi-annual basis.

In terms of financial performance during the recent period, the Commercial International Bank «CIB» continued to achieve strong results during the first half of 2025, as its net profits rose to 33.41 billion pounds during the first half of 2025, compared to 27.68 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 20.7%, and a total increase of 5.73 billion pounds.

Profits before income taxes jumped to EGP 46.40 billion during the first 6 months of 2025, compared to EGP 38.56 billion during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 20.3%.

Net income from returns increased by about 23.4%, reaching 51.15 billion pounds during the first half of 2025, compared to 41.44 billion pounds during the same period in 2024, with a total increase of 9.71 billion pounds.

His portfolio of customer deposits jumped to EGP 1.04 trillion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 967.90 billion by the end of 2024, a growth rate of 7.5% and an increase of EGP 72.34 billion.

His total loans to customers increased by about 19.8% during the first half of this year, reaching EGP 466.81 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 389.57 billion by the end of 2024, a total increase of EGP 77.24 billion.
