With a growth of 209.2% in 5 years, QNB Egypt's financial position jumps to EGP 831.38 bn

Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt has significantly strengthened its financial position over the past 5 years, as evidenced by the increase in its asset portfolio to EGP 831.38 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 268.92 billion by the end of 2019, with a growth rate of 209.2% and an increase of EGP 562.46 billion. Tracking its journey over the period under analysis, we find that the highest annual growth rate witnessed by the portfolio was during 2022, when the size of the bank's assets increased by about 34.6%, reaching 476.79 billion pounds at the end of 2022, compared to 354.20 billion pounds at the end of 2021, an increase estimated at about 122.60 billion pounds. The highest value increase recorded by the asset portfolio during the past year was EGP 188.45 billion, jumping to EGP 808.98 billion by the end of 2024, compared to EGP 620.53 billion by the end of 2023, with a growth rate of 30.4% year-on-year. As for the portfolio's performance during the current year, it rose to EGP 831.38 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 808.98 billion by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 2.8% and an increase of EGP 22.41 billion. It is worth noting that Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt achieved net profits of EGP 14.77 billion during the first half of 2025, compared to EGP 13.30 billion during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 11.1% and an increase of EGP 1.47 billion. The bank's profits before income taxes rose to 20.82 billion pounds during the first half of 2025, compared to 20.01 billion pounds during the same corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 4%, and an increase estimated at about 806 million pounds. The bank's total loans to customers jumped by about 11% during the first 6 months of this year, reaching EGP 405.54 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 365.29 billion by the end of 2024, a total increase of EGP 40.25 billion.  The bank's customer deposit portfolio increased at a growth rate of 3% during the first half of this year, reaching 701.71 billion pounds by the end of June 2025, compared to 681.86 billion pounds by the end of 2024, recording an increase of 19.84 billion pounds.
