QNB-Egypt asset portfolio jumps 215% in 5 years

Qatar National Bank «QNB» Egypt has significantly strengthened its financial position over the past 5 years, which is evident in the increase in its portfolio of assets to EGP 847.95 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 268.92 bn by the end of 2019, which represents a growth of about 215%, and an increase of EGP 579.03 bn.

Tracking its journey over the period under analysis, we find that the highest annual growth rate witnessed by the portfolio was during 2022, when the volume of the bank’s assets increased by about 35%, reaching EGP 476.79 bn by the end of 2022, compared to EGP 354.20 bn by the end of 2021, an increase estimated at about EGP 122.60 bn.

While it was the highest value increase recorded by the asset portfolio during the past year, as it jumped by EGP 188.45 bn, reaching EGP 808.98 bn by the end of 2024, compared to EGP 620.53 bn by the end of 2023, with a growth rate of 30% on an annual basis.

It is worth noting that «QNB» Egypt announced the business results of the first quarter of this year, which revealed an increase in its net profits to EGP 6.951 bn during the first 3 months of 2025, compared to EGP 6.85 bn during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 1.47%, and an increase Total amount of EGP 100.990 million.

Net income from revenue rose to EGP 11.004 bn during the first quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 9.718 bn during the same corresponding period in 2024, with a growth rate of 13.24%, and a total increase of EGP 1.287 bn.

Net income from fees and commissions jumped by about 36.07% during the first 3 months of this year, recording EGP 1.738 bn during the first quarter of 2025, compared to EGP 1.278 bn during the same period in 2024.

In terms of the bank’s financial position, its portfolio of assets increased to EGP 847.948 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 808.976 bn by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 4.82%, and an increase of EGP 38.971 bn.

The customer deposit portfolio increased by about 6.94% during the first 3 months of this year, reaching EGP 729.206 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 681.864 bn by the end of 2024, an increase estimated at about EGP 47.342 bn.

The bank's total loans to customers jumped to EGP 386.162 bn by the end of March 2025, compared to EGP 365.293 bn by the end of 2024, with a growth rate of 5.71%, and an increase of EGP 20.869 bn.
