Attijariwafa bank's assets jump by 294% in 5 years

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt has significantly strengthened its financial position over the past 5 years, which is evident in the increase in its asset portfolio to 124.758 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 31.642 billion pounds by the end of 2019, with a growth rate of 294%, and a total increase of 93.117 billion pounds.
Tracking its journey over the period under analysis, we find that the highest annual growth rate witnessed by the portfolio was during 2023, when the volume of the bank’s assets increased by about 44%, reaching 88.662 billion pounds by the end of 2023, compared to 61.705 billion pounds by the end of 2022, an increase estimated at about 26.957 billion pounds.
While it was the highest increase recorded by the asset portfolio during the past year, as it jumped by 36.097 billion pounds, to record 124.758 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 88.662 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with a growth rate of 41%.
In general, Attijariwafa Bank achieved strong performance over the past year, as its net profits increased by about 83.71% over the past year, recording 3.68 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 2.01 billion pounds in 2023, representing an increase of 1.68 billion pounds.
The bank's profits before income taxes jumped at a growth rate of 78.39% and an increase of 2.26 billion pounds, recording 5.15 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 2.89 billion pounds during 2023.
Net interest income increased to 6.34 billion pounds during 2024, compared to 4.25 billion pounds during 2023, with a growth rate of 49.36%, and an increase of 2.10 billion pounds.
Net fees and commissions income increased at a growth rate of 54.80%, reaching 1.29 billion pounds in 2024, compared to 830.94 million pounds in 2023, an increase of 455.06 million pounds.
Customer deposit portfolio increased by about 36.41% over the past year, recording 104.19 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 76.38 billion pounds by the end of 2023, an increase of 27.81 billion pounds.
The bank's total loans to customers jumped to 59.55 billion pounds by the end of 2024, compared to 44.02 billion pounds by the end of 2023, with a growth rate of 35.27%, and an increase of 15.53 billion pounds.
