Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Monday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Monday, 11 August 2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.75% to record EGP 543.834 bn compared to EGP 547.930 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.40% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 737.912 mn which represents 14.36% of the total trading volume today after 17.29 million shares were exchanged capturing 1.11% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 0.56% to reach 36.218 points EGX70 decrease by 0.50% to record 10.639 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.50 to record 14.379 points.
