ADIB-Egypt, HD Bank, and SC Bank top fastest-Growing Listed Banks in Equity During H1 2025

ADIB-Egypt topped the list of the fastest-growing banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange in terms of equity growth during the first half (H1) of 2025, with a growth rate of 22.3%.
HD Bank secured second place with a 20.6% increase, while SC Bank ranked third at 19.5%.CIB and EGBANK completed the top five with equity growth rates of 16.1% and 14.8%, respectively.
According to First Bank’s ranking of the fastest-growing listed banks by equity in H1 2025, ADIB-Egypt led the list after its equity portfolio grew by 22.3% during the period, reaching EGP 27.36 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 23.37 billion at the end of 2024.
The ranking, which included all 12 banks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, showed that 9 banks achieved positive growth in total equity, while 3 banks recorded notable declines during the first half of 2025.
Equity refers to the residual interest in the bank’s assets after deducting all liabilities (essentially representing shareholders’ ownership in the bank’s assets).
Housing & Development Bank claimed second place with a growth rate of 20.6% in H1 2025, as its equity portfolio increased to EGP 29.25 billion by the end of June, up from EGP 24.24 billion at the end of 2024.
Suez Canal Bank ranked third after its equity portfolio rose by 19.5% in H1 2025, reaching EGP 16.58 billion by the end of June, compared to EGP 13.87 billion at the end of 2024.
CIB came fourth with a 16.1% increase, as equity rose to EGP 176.07 billion by the end of June 2025, from EGP 151.69 billion at year-end 2024.
In fifth place, EGBANK recorded a 14.8% rise in total equity, reaching EGP 11.01 billion by the end of June 2025, compared to EGP 9.59 billion at the end of 2024.
It is worth noting that all figures and growth rates mentioned in the above analysis are based on the independently published financial statements of each bank as of June 2025.
