The Egyptian pound index increased against the major currencies during, Sunday 17 August 2025, the index reached 38.896  points, compared to 38.888 points at last Sunday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index rose against 3 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it rose against pound sterling, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, but it fell against US dollar, Euro and remained stable against UAE dirham, Saudi riyal,.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt decreased from EGP  65.66  to EGP 65.55 while the average buying fell from EGP 65.48 to EGP 65.40 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt fell from EGP 33.00 to EGP 32.85 while the average buying decreased from EGP 32.92 to EGP 32.78 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt fell from  EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.73 while the average buying price decreased frome  EGP 6.72 to EGP 6.71 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt increased from EGP 48.35 to EGP 48.36 while the average buying rose from EGP 48.25to EGP 48.26 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 56.51 to EGP 56.57 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.39 to EGP 56.45 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt remained stable at EGP 13.16 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 13.13 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal remained stable at EGP 12.88 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 12.86 at the end of today's trading.
