The Egyptian pound index decreased against the major currencies during, Tuesday 19 August 2025, the index reached 38.805  points, compared to 38.869 points at Yesterday's trading.

The Egyptian pound index fell against 6 currencies that measures the performance of the pound, it decreased against US dollar, Euro, pound sterling, Chinese Yuan, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, but it remained stable against Japanese Yen.

The average selling price of US dollar in Egypt increased from EGP 48.41 to EGP 48.50 while the average buying rose from EGP 48.31to EGP 48.40 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Euro in Egypt rose from EGP 56.58 to EGP 56.68 while the average buying rose from EGP 56.45 to EGP 56.56  at the end of today's trading.

The average pound sterling selling rate in Egypt rose from EGP 65.58  to EGP 65.60 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 65.43 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Chinese yuan in Egypt rose from  EGP 6.74 to EGP 6.75 while the average buying price increased from  EGP 6.73 to EGP 6.74 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the UAE dirham in Egypt increased from EGP 13.18 to EGP 13.20 while the average buying rose from EGP 13.15 to EGP 13.17 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Saudi riyal rose from EGP 12.90 to EGP 12.92 while the average buying increased from EGP 12.87 to EGP 12.89 at the end of today's trading.

The average selling price of the Japanese yen in Egypt remained stable at EGP 32.83 while the average buying remained stable at EGP 32.76 at the end of today's trading.
