The foreign exchange rate witnessed an increase at the end of Thursday 21 August 2025 trading at Egypt's major banks.
First Bank monitors foreign currency rates in major banks in Egypt:
U.S. dollar
The US dollar rate against EGP recorded EGP 48.4383 for buying and EGP 48.5726 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest dollar rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 48.75 .
The lowest rate for selling was in Credit Agricole-Egypt at EGP 48.52 .
Euro
The Euro rate against EGP recorded EGP 56.4403 for buying and EGP 56.6065 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank’s website.
The highest Euro rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 56.67 .
The lowest rate for selling was in «QNB-Egypt» at EGP 56.58 .
Pound Sterling
The pound sterling rate against EGP stands at EGP 65.2367 for buying and EGP 65.4370 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest pound sterling rate for buying was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 65.50 .
While the lowest rate for selling in «QNB-Egypt» at EGP 65.41 .
Saudi Riyals
The Saudi riyal rate against EGP today in Egypt recorded EGP 12.9076 for buying and EGP 12.9441 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying today was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 12.99 .
The lowest rate for selling was in «ABK-Egypt» at EGP 12.94 .
Kuwaiti Dinar
Kuwaiti dinar rate today in Egypt reached EGP 158.4297 for buying and EGP 158.9209 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Kuwaiti dinar was in HSBC at EGP 158.75 .
The lowest price for selling was in «QNB-Egypt» at EGP 158.82 .
Emirati Dirham
The rate of Emirati dirham today in Egypt recorded EGP 13.1869 for buying and EGP 13.2249 for selling, according to the latest data issued on the Central Bank of Egypt website.
The highest rate for buying the Emirati dirham today was in «ADIB-Egypt» at EGP 13.27 .
