Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 26 August 2025 with a decrease in the market cap by 1.12% to record EGP 535.773   bn compared to EGP 541.846  bn at Yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.38% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 1.34 bn which represents 22.1% of the total trading volume today after 16.56  million shares were exchanged capturing 0.95% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with a decrease ,However turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” fell by 1.26% to record 35.979 points “EGX70” decreased by 0.11% to record 10.817 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by 0.37% to record 14.453 points.
