Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session

The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 17 June  2025 with an decrease in the market cap by 0.90% to record EGP 470.960 bn compared to EGP  475.253 bn at yesterday's session.

The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.04% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 284.539 mn which represents  8.48% of the total trading volume today after 5.861 million shares were exchanged capturing  0.68% of the total trading volume.

The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with decrease and turnover amounted EGP  258.8 mn on shares.

The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” decrease by 1.02% to reach 31.118 points EGX70 decrease by 2.44% to record 9.303 points, and the broader index “EGX100” fell by   2.22% to record  12.596 points.
