Egypt’s banking sector performance on EGX at Tuesday's closing session
The banking sector ends EGX trading session on Tuesday, 8 April 2025 with an increase in the market cap by 0.96% to record EGP 467.809 bn compared to EGP 463.342 bn at yesterday's session.
The market cap of the banking sector reached 22.24% of the total EGX market cap, which is considered the highest percentage among the sectors listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The turnover on banking sector shares amounted to 199.197 mn which represents 4.13% of the total trading volume today after 3.686 million shares were exchanged capturing 0.23% of the total trading volume.
The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange ended Today’s trading session with increase and turnover amounted EGP 258.8 mn on shares.
The main index of the Egyptian Stock Exchange “EGX30” increase by 0.64% to reach 30.733 points EGX70 increase by 1.77% to record 8.879 points, and the broader index “EGX100” rose by 1.55% to record 12.192 points.
